I wanted to pop in to share some of the highlights of 2022 and some of the things we're looking forward to in 2023! 🙆♀️2022. What. A. Year. 🙆♀️ It’s crazy to think that at this time last year I hadn’t publicly announced that I was embarking on this endeavor that you now know as Poshed On The Go™. I had dropped some hints that I was starting something new, but it took me 15 days from writing the check to begin our mobile app development to finally having the courage to share my tech startup company with the world. I'm so happy I decided to start, even though I was completely terrified of entering into this new world of tech startups! Since then, it’s been quite the ride. It’s been a year of…
🙈 MASSIVE RISKS. 💰MASSIVE INVESTMENTS. 👩🏫MASSIVE LEARNING. 🙏MASSIVE FAITH. But I'm a year into this and I know, without a doubt, that this is where I’m meant to be. I’m more confident than ever that we’re about to launch something huge that will change the beauty industry forever.
There have been so many “coincidences” that have happened (that I like to call “God Winks”) that have affirmed my decision to risk it all by starting this company. I thank God for his guidance this year as I've learned so much through this new venture. A few notable "God Winks" include:
We were selected for financial backing from Kansas City’s Digital Sandbox to fund some of the development of the app.
After raving about the book Play Bigger, I ran into one of the authors, Chris Lochhead, while on a business trip. Chris is a entrepreneur and three-time CMO of Silicon Valley companies that went public. Thanks to our serendipitous meeting, I was able to chat with him about Poshed™ & get his feedback! My heart sang a little bit when he asked, “Is anyone else doing this?”
Poshed™ has been selected for multiple startup accelerators in 2023. While I can’t share the program details yet, we’re very excited to be afforded such opportunities as we go to market this year!
To say that the team and I are entering into 2023 feeling good is an understatement. We’re literally busting at the seams with excitement about what this year will bring as we bring the Poshed™ app to market. YES, the app is actually coming! We will be launching our app LIVE TO THE APP STORES so, so, so soon! We’re currently internally testing the software and should be releasing it soon-ish. One thing I’ve learned this year is to never set public launch dates when it comes to dealing with tech development, you’ll always be behind schedule if you do.
I’d also like to thank some of my teammates – past and present – who have been instrumental in the laying the foundation of Poshed On The Go™.

I do not know why Ben Shrauner has so much faith in me, but he does! He is my biggest cheerleader and supporter; I couldn’t do any of this without him. Not only does he put up with my crazy risk taking and rollercoaster emotions - he is also an amazing father to our twin toddlers and goes above and beyond for all of us. He steps up whenever necessary to give an extra hand of support, and it doesn't go unnoticed. I'm blessed to have you as a partner, Benniebooboo. I love you.
